The ex-England manager, 75, announced this week he had just 12 months or less to live.

Ulrika, 56, who had an affair with Eriksson in 2002, put an old photo of herself on Instagram, with the words: “Look at me being all young all that.”

Sven and Nancy, 62, later reunited, but following his fling with Football Association secretary Faria Alam, 57, they split in 2007.

His last known relationship was in 2014 with Yaniseth Bravo – a dancer roughly half his age.

Nancy, who had a 10-year relationship with Sven, said: “I knew Sven was ill, but it hurts so much to hear this.

“It’s a really negative moment. In September my mother died and I can’t get over this loss. It’s like having an open wound that instead of healing keeps getting worse. Sven’s announcement was devastating. Life can be cruel.”

She added: “I don’t have anything to say about Sven. #nada. Not a decent person.”

The couple’s affair took place while Eriksson was in a relationship with Italian lawyer Nancy Dell’Olio.

“It’s a really negative moment. In September my mother died and I can’t get over this loss. It’s like having an open wound that instead of healing keeps getting worse. Sven’s announcement was devastating. Life can be cruel.”

When Ulrika revealed her romps with Eriksson, Nancy branding her love rival’s claims “a publicity attempt”.

Ulrika claimed Eriksson had promised to break up with Nancy, but reneged. She said in 2002: “Sven is behaving like a lying cad. He promised me it was over with Nancy but then takes her out to dinner and doesn’t even call me.”
