Jeffrey Ross, 58, and Cary Elwes, 61, separately posted to Instagram a massive group shot of entertainers who congregated to celebrate the birthday of the Ace Ventura: Pet Detective star.

Among the other famous faces in attendance included Jimmy Kimmel, 56, Howie Mandel, 68, Bill Burr, 55, Craig Robinson, 52, Seth Green, 49, and Ben Schwartz, 42.

‘The Laugh Supper!’ Ross said. ‘Happy birthday Jim Carrey! We love you!’

Elwes said, ‘Happy Birthday to this wonderful guy who brings smiles and laughter where ever he goes. Have a beautiful day, Jim!’

Carrey was seen exiting the establishment with presents and a cake, taking them into his SUV as he departed the premises.

Carrey has been finicky about his projects in recent years, making cameos in 2022 for Canadian rapper The Weeknd in the music video The Weeknd: Out of Time and the short The Weeknd x the Dawn FM Experience.

His most recent appearance in a film came in 2022’s Sonic the Hedgehog 2, in which he reprised his role of Dr. Robotnik from the 2020 movie.

He also appeared in six episodes of Saturday Night Live in 2020, doing a parody of President Joe Biden.

In a March 2022 interview with Access Hollywood, Carrey said he was eyeing retirement in his acting career.

‘Well, I’m retiring – yeah, probably – I’m being fairly serious,’ the actor said, adding that his future in front of the camera depended on the material sent his way.

He said: ‘It depends. If the angels bring some sort of script that’s written in gold ink that says to me that it’s going to be really important for people to see, I might continue down the road, but I’m taking a break.’

Carrey, who starred on the Showtime series Kidding from 2018-2020, said that he was content creatively after decades in Hollywood.

‘I feel like – and this is something you might never hear another celebrity say as long as time exists – I have enough,’ he said. ‘I’ve done enough. I am enough.’
