Helen Mirren and Richard Gere voted celebs who have aged the best
Dame Helen Mirren is the celeb who is ageing the best.
Swedish wellness brand has ranked the 78-year-old British Oscar winning actress highest on their list.
The L’oreal brand ambassador has a no fuss approach to beauty and famously posted a make-up free selfie on Instagram on the eve of last years Oscars, captioned “Oscar night before.”
The following day she posted her transformation photo captioned, “And after…with the help of those in the photo.” Fans loved her post so it’s not surprising she received so many votes.
But it’s the celebs that took second and third place that may raise a few eye brows.
The number two spot has been taken by none other than 65 Madonna, being ranked third.
When it comes to ageing I don’t think you’ll find two people with more radically opposing approaches to getting older.
The Queen has chosen to grow old gracefully while Madge arms herself with every anti ageing procedure in the book.
Madonna only scoped 11% of the votes.
Dame Judi Dench was the sixth Brit in the female celeb list, while singers Dolly Parton, Cher and Tina Turner also made the top 10 with US actresses Kim Basinger, Sharon Stone and Susan Sarandon.
Richard Gere, 74, secured his place as the male who has aged the best, winning 17% of the votes made by the British public, while Irish eyes are smiling at positions two and three with Liam Neeson (15%) and Pierce Brosnan (13%) filling silver and bronze positions respectively.
Sir Paul McCartney, Gary Oldman and Mick Jagger all kept the British flag flying by making the top 10. US actors Harrison Ford, Kevin Bacon and Robert de Niro also made the list alongside the only entry not from America, the UK or Ireland, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
