Indiana Jones actor Christian Oliver has tragically died in a plane crash, which was caught on camera, alongside his two daughters
Christian Oliver, real name Christian Klepser, 51, was killed alongside his daughters Madita, 10, and Annik, 12 in a plane crash on Friday 5 January.
The pilot of the plane was also killed in the small aircraft which crashed into the sea off Bequia, part of St Vincent.
The tragic moment was caught on camera and shared to social media. The cause of the crash is still unknown, according to police.
All four bodies have been recovered from the plane, which had just taken off from F Mitchell Airport.
An eye-witness to the crash told iWitness: “Everything shut off the first time. So, I told my friend, “That plane is going to crash.’ But the plane kicked up back again like it built up back a power.”
They added the plane appeared to lose power again before “it just dived down”.
His final on screen appearance will be in upcoming movie Forever Hold Your Peace. He finished filming his final scenes on December 20.
Director Nick Lyon paid tribute, sharing a photo from set, as he penned: “We talked about producing a film together for years and finally did it! Thank you for being a great colleague, actor and friend.”
Former co-star Bai Ling added: “It was our first and last film together, I loved working with him so much.
“He was so nice, works so hard and such a brave actor and a beautiful gentle person, we played lovers in this film, just so so so sad.”
Just two days before his tragic death, Christian shared an idyllic snap from his holiday in the Caribbean.
He captioned the shot: “Let love rule. Wishing all of you the best for 2024.”
Christian was previously married to Jessica Muroz, but the pair filed for divorce in December 2021.
