ANDERSON COOPER USED TO BELIEVE, “I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO HAVE A KID.” BUT NOW, HE’S A HAPPY DAD WITH TWO SONS.

When Anderson Cooper was a kid, around 12 years old, he thought about being gay and felt upset because he thought he would never be able to have kids. Now, at 54, he’s a happy dad with two beautiful sons. Life turned out differently than he expected!

In April 2020, Anderson Cooper became a dad to his first son, Wyatt Morgan.

He named his son after his late dad, Wyatt Emory Cooper. The name Morgan was a family name that was on the list to be his name, from his late mom Gloria Vanderbilt’s side.

Before Wyatt was born, Anderson got lots of books about parenting but didn’t actually read them. Later, he realized just having the books around didn’t help – you need to read them!

Even though he wasn’t sure about being a parent, Anderson loved everything about it. He had a lot of support, especially from his ex, Benjamin Maisani, who helps him co-parent.

“It’s probably an unusual setup, but I knew he would be a great dad, and he is. We’re exes, but we’re family to each other, and we love each other as family and as co-parents.”

Recently, Anderson Cooper shared some happy news on his show, Anderson Cooper 360. He welcomed another child into his family, and his name is Sebastian Luke Maisani-Cooper. Sebastian was born healthy, and Anderson mentioned that even his occasional hiccups seemed adorable to him. Sebastian is now part of the family, and he’s currently in the process of being adopted by Benjamin Maisani, Anderson’s best friend and co-parent.

Anderson plans to raise both of his sons, Wyatt and Sebastian, with Benjamin. While being a first-time parent was a bit overwhelming, Anderson feels much calmer the second time around.

Now that Anderson Cooper has two lovely babies, he wants to take a break from work and spend time enjoying moments with his sons while they’re still little.
