Fans Call Joan Collins, 90, the ‘Definition of Glamour’ in Fabulous Brunch Video
Fans loved Joan Collins‘ elegance and candor as she shared a message with them in a quaint video taken at brunch in Santa Monica, California.
The English starlet rocked a sunhat, oversized sunglasses and a blue and white striped sweater as she addressed the camera in a clip shared on Monday, Jan. 29, saying, “Here I am, in Santa Monica, California, having just had the most enormous brunch, absolutely fantastic. And the weather here is beautiful, and calm, and balmy, and I feel very sad for all of you who are in England because the weather’s not very good.”
Luckily, Collins had a great suggestion for everyone stuck inside, going on to pitch that her fans pick up her new book. She went on, “But I suggest that maybe, if you pick up my new book, Behind the Shoulder Pads,” before she was interrupted by her husband, Percy Gibson, who was filming the video and started laughing at Collins.
“Stop laughing, Percy,” the actress told him, before continuing to say that her book “will make you have a fun afternoon or evening.” After wrapping up the little promotion, Collins couldn’t help but let out a giggle herself, then said, “Cut.”
Always putting my foot in it!!… #behindtheshoulderpads #santamonica #sunnyday #california #sundaybrunch,” she captioned the post.
Fans appreciated Collins’ elegance and charm, with one proclaiming, “The definition of glamour 😍,” and another said, “Looking fabulous as always 🌟.”
“Dame Joan, your energy is as amazing as your achievements. The world is lucky to enjoy your presence!!! ✨🗺️💞👏👏👏,” complimented a third.
A few also noted that they’d already read her new book, with reactions like, “loving every page,” “Read it in 2 days. A classy lady and inspiration,” and “Perfect antidote to miserable weather!”
Collins’ latest book Behind the Shoulder Pads was released in September 2023, but she has an extensive bibliography. Alongside a number of memoirs and nonfiction books, the 90-year-old has also explored fiction storytelling over the years.
