‘Pure magic’: Bruce Willis and Demi Moore welcome Louetta Isley, their first granddaughter.
Officially, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore are grandparents!
Rumer Willis, the oldest child of the ex-couple, gave birth to a girl last week.
The new parents captioned a picture of their baby, whom they called Louetta Isley Thomas Willis, “You are pure magic,” and added, “We love you.”
“You are more than we could have ever imagined,” they wrote, “Born at home on Tuesday, April 18th.”
In December, Rumer and Derek made the first child-sharing announcement.
Moore acknowledged her enthusiasm for her new life position.
She captioned her reshare of her daughter’s announcement, “Entering my hot kooky unhinged grandma era,”
Since Rumer’s father, Bruce, has been publicly battling frontotemporal dementia, Rumer’s pregnancy has been challenging for the family. Nevertheless, everyone has been incredibly enthusiastic about adding a new member to the family despite the heartbreaking diagnosis.
“[My parents] are really happy. Being the first grandchild in our family is so much pleasure, especially since we are already such a large group; my sisters are overjoyed,” she told People.
She continued by saying that the excitement had also helped her overcome some of the more trying circumstances she had recently faced.
“…even those difficult or frustrating moments, I’m just so excited, and that always kind of trumps everything… But it’s crazy. Even more so than I had anticipated, it is the wildest sensation.”
Best wishes to Rumer and Derek! And congrats to Bruce and Demi on their new role as grandparents! I hope you all enjoy this unique period of your lives.
Please spread the good news.
