Blake Lively Fans Are Thrilled the Mother of 4 is ‘Normalizing Pumping in Public’ on Instagram
Blake Lively never fails to keep it real on Instagram. Case in point: While reflecting on some of her favorite memories from 2023 on Instagram, Lively shared a series of photos from a postpartum trip to Disneyland Paris—portable breast pump and all.
In the second slide of the photo dump, the 36-year-old mother of four can be seen posing with everyone’s favorite culinary rodent from Ratatouille while dressed in a long-sleeve yellow Disney t-shirt, comfortable sneakers, Mickey Mouse ears, and her most important accessory of all: her breast pump. “Pumping at @disneylandparis,” she captioned the carousel with a glass of milk emoji. “Cheers Remy.”
Fans of Lively, particularly fellow mothers, were thrilled to see the Gossip Girl star “normalizing pumping in public.” Comments ranged from heartwarming to humorous, with one user joking, “If you haven’t pumped while waiting in line at Disneyland what are you even doing?! 😂 Mine was an hour wait at Indiana Jones. Pumped 11oz.”
“Thank you for pumping in public and helping to make a positive change for the next generation of pumping moms out there,” another fan wrote. “I’m hoping that by the time my daughters become moms they’ll live in a society where moms feel comfortable and empowered to take care of their babies wherever they are. The more people see women breastfeeding in public, the more normal it becomes, so thank you for being a part of that.”
While taking another trip down 2023 memory lane, Lively also shared a roundup of photos from one of her most iconic fashion moments of the year. In September, Lively went full “Dancing Queen” in a form-fitting sequins jumpsuit and a loose take on disco curls for New York Fashion Week. “Only @michaelkors could get me to squeeze into gold sequins way too soon after having a baby,” Lively captioned the pics on December 30. “Love you MK✨🪩 ✨.”
Blake Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds share four children, including daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4. The couple welcomed their fourth child in early 2023, though they have shared very few details with the public. “We’re very excited. Look, we wouldn’t do this four times if we didn’t love it,” Reynolds said in February. “Everybody’s doing great. Everybody’s actually doing fantastic. I think if we hadn’t figured it out by now, I think we’d be in deep, deep trouble.”
