Before the last season of Blue Bloods, Mark Wahlberg responds to the conclusion of his brother Donnie’s show on CBS

It’s still difficult to think that Blue Bloods will finish once Season 14 airs on the 2024 TV schedule. For years, the long-running family cop drama has been a Friday night mainstay, but there have been murmurs that it would be cancelled.

Donnie Wahlberg has also spoken out about Danny possibly retiring. Fans had mixed feelings about the conclusion of Blue Bloods, and it turns out that Mark Wahlberg has as well, as he was the latest to speak out about the show and his brother Donnie.

Mark Wahlberg spoke to ET about the CBS procedural’s extended run while promoting his new Apple TV+ film The Family Plan, which is now streaming.

He praised his older brother and the rest of the Blue Bloods cast, congratulating them on their accomplishment:

“Of course, congratulations to Donnie, Tom [Selleck], and the entire cast! It’s incredible! It is truly an unprecedented run. [As] someone who has been making television for a long time, I understand how difficult it is. So, once again, congratulations! It’s quite an accomplishment.”

It’s wonderful that Mark Wahlberg congratulated his brother and Blue Bloods. Now I’m interested in hearing his thoughts on the last season.

Since it is coming to an end, perhaps fans can look forward to the actor appearing alongside his brother on Blue Bloods? Mark Wahlberg hasn’t had many television parts, and it all depends on his schedule, but his appearance would undoubtedly be the highlight of the last season.

How would Blue Bloods handle a guest appearance by Mark Wahlberg? It would be amusing if he played himself and told Danny that he looks like his brother. Or perhaps he could portray a cr1minal?

Perhaps the Reagan family can add another hidden family member, but then the Reagan family feasts would be too crowded. While I realize it’s a hard shot, I’d love to see the Wahlbergs reunite for the final season of Blue Bloods.

Meanwhile, not much information regarding Season 14 has been disclosed, but as production proceeds, additional facts will most certainly be released.

The episode count for the split season is known. The first installment, which premieres on February 16, will consist of ten episodes. The season’s last eight episodes will air sometime in the fall of 2024. Blue Bloods is leaving in a dramatic way, and it will be fascinating and emotional to see what happens.

Blue Bloods’ 14th and last season premieres on CBS on Friday, February 16 at 10 p.m. ET, or may be streamed the following day with a Paramount+ membership.

There will be plenty to look forward to, and hopefully some surprises, such as a certain Wahlberg brother possibly making an appearance? One can fantasize.
