Richard Gere’s, 73, wife Alejandra Silva celebrates milestone 40th birthday by sharing rare photo of their young sons while on tropical getaway: ‘Thank you for all the love’
Richard Gere‘s much younger wife Alejandra Silva celebrated her 40th birthday by sharing a rare photograph of their two young children on social media.
The 73-year-old actor’s wife took to Instagram to share a sweet post as she thanked family, friends and followers for their kind words as she hit her milestone year.
Alejandra did make sure to keep the faces of her sons – Alexander, four, and their youngest boy, who turns three in April – hidden as she has kept her personal life with the actor – who recently starred alongside Emma Roberts – 33 years her senior private.
She captioned the image: ‘Thank you all for the birthday wishes.. after almost 3 weeks of everyone being sick in our family today finally I feel much better!’ The A Coruña, Spain native shared on Thursday, February 16, the actual day of her birthday.’
She added, ‘Thank you for all the love. I give it all back to you! #happybirthday #happy40,’ along with a red heart emoji.
The photo shows Silva looking stunning in an aqua-blue dress while walking in her bare feet on the beach with her two toddlers, during a family getaway to a tropical paradise.
Her dark brown locks can be seen blowing back off her face due to the gusts of wind.
Making their way on the sand towards the vast ocean, the mother of three looked to be holding hands with Alexander, as her youngest runs ahead with excitement.
On Friday, Silva (born Alejandra María Silva García-Baquero) shared a photo of two bouquets of flowers that she placed on a dining room table, along with what appeared to be birthday cards sitting next to each of them.
She followed up by posting a picture of the festive birthday balloons she received, that included three large gold ones, ‘HBD [happy birthday]’, that sat in between an assortment of gold and purple balloons.
In the background, there were more flowers placed on a chair, not far from the sliding glass back door leading to a patio area.
For part of her birthday, Silva and her boys enjoyed pizza for lunch on the shore that was capped off with a special miniature cake, according to Us Weekly.
‘Birthday lunch in paradise,’ she captioned the Instagram Story snap on Thursday.
Gere and Silva, a publicist and political activist, dated for about three years before they decided to tie-the-knot in an intimate civil ceremony in April 2018.
