It has been a sad and trying time for Bruce Willis and his family. Diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in February of 2023, that followed an aphasia diagnosis in 2022.
Since then, it has been a tough period for him and his family. Although the family has mentioned that he’s “still Bruce“, the aphasia has affected his ability to communicate well.

It appears the condition has progressively gotten worse, and he has essentially been rendered unable to speak. It’s a clear symptom of aphasia, which is a disorder that affects a person’s ability to communicate due to damage in the brain’s “language centers”.
Paired with dementia, Willis is in a constant and never-ending battle. Thankfully, he has a loving family that continues to take care of him. Being together with his family is what will allow him to fight this battle for as long as possible.
Willis is currently 69 years old, having celebrated his birthday back in March. He is supported by his wife, Emma Heming, with whom he shares two daughters.
