Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn’s new grandchild is on the way
The rumors are indeed true! Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn will soon be welcoming the latest addition to their family!
The doting grandparents – who already have seven grandkids – will be adding another child to their growing family when their son Wyatt Russell and his wife Meredith Hagner welcome their second child early next year.
Taking to instagram, Meredith revealed that she will be welcoming her second baby, a boy, in February, 2024.
She and Wyatt are already parents to little Buddy Prine Russell, who was born in 2021.
In her Instagram post, Meredith wrote: “So excited to share we have another little boy coming in Feb. Deeply, deeply grateful.”
Reflecting on his experience as a father, Wyatt previously told Entertainment Online shortly after the birth of his first child: “It’s everything you didn’t know it was going to be. Now, it’s about him and your family and trying to balance everything.”
Goldie and Kurt are equally as thrilled to be grandparents, with Hawn even revealing to Hello! Magazine that her grandchildren affectionately refer to her as “GoGo”! Both Goldie and Kurt are loving grandparents to Kate Hudson’s kids Ryder, Bingham, and Rani; Oliver Hudson’s children, Wilder, Bojdi, and Rio; and Wyatt’s son Buddy.
Goldie, embracing her role as a grandmother, has shifted from offering advice to her children to imparting wisdom through her actions.
“You’ve got to work for a living, stay compassionate, and stay realistic. I’m passing that on because that was what my father taught me: stay in reality,” she told Variety in March this year.
Meredith, who married Wyatt in 2019, previously shared a pregnancy photo on Instagram accompanied by an emotional caption on motherhood.
“When your baby is born, you are reborn. This time as a mother. The essence of who you are, all the magic that makes you so singularly YOU is there but she might be a stranger to you for a little while,” she wrote. “There’s a new stranger attached to you both physically and energetically, and the you that has been 36 years in the making will exist in a different energy entirely.”
Fans took to the comments to praise her relatable message, saying they admired her positive yet realistic message on motherhood
